ASH Events

Every year, Adventuresses and their friends gather in New York City to make merry, celebrate their collective love of all things Sherlock Holmes, and spend time with dear friends. ASH traditionally hosts two luncheons per year, one in the spring and one in the autumn, and regularly participates in the Annual Birthday Weekend celebrations in January.

Yearly ASH Events

  • The Birthday Weekend

    2001 – Present

Sherlock Holmes birthday celebrations are held in New York and London the first two full weekends in January, allowing many Sherlockians to “cross the pond” to celebrate. ASH events bookend the New York Weekend with an informal dinner on ASH Wednesday and a Sunday brunch.

  • The Spring Luncheon

    2002 – Present

Every spring, Adventuresses descend upon New York City for an afternoon of delight. Traditionally held in April, May or June, the ASH Spring Dinner or Luncheon is for members and friends of ASH. ASH gathers to break bread, engage in lively conversation, give toasts, and sing the traditional ASH songs.

  • The Autumn Luncheon

    2000 – Present

In the autumn, ASH gathers in New York City to give toasts, sing traditional ASH songs, and of course, discuss all things Sherlock Holmes! Traditionally held in October, November or December, the Autumn Luncheon was once limited to ASH members, but has since opened to members and friends of ASH.
